AC Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio joins Juventus for €12m on a a five-year deal
Juventus have completed the signing of Mattia De Sciglio from AC Milan for €12 million, potentially rising to €12.5m.
De Sciglio left Milan’s preseason tour of China to fly back to Italy, where he underwent a medical, and has signed a five-year deal.
Juve said in a statement: “Juventus Football Club S.p.A. Announces that it has finalized the agreement with AC Milan S.p.A. for the final acquisition of the right to sporting athlete Mattia De Sciglio for a fee of €12 million payable in three years.
“The purchase value may increase to a maximum of €0.5 million at maturity of certain terms during the term of the contract.”
The 24-year-old will replace Dani Alves as Juve’s new right full-back, reuniting himself with Massimiliano Allegri, who handed him his Milan debut in 2012.
Di Sciglio went on to make 110 Serie A appearances and feature 31 times for Italy, where he was first choice under Antonio Conte at Euro 2016.
He still had a year left to run on his contract with the Rossoneri, but was been deemed surplus to requirements following the arrivals of Mateo Musacchio and Ricardo Rodriguez.
He was already being linked with a summer switch to Juve then and was being accused by a large section of Milan fans of being distracted by the Bianconeri‘s interest.
