Al Farouq Aminu’s double-double helps Trailblazers beat Indiana Pacers to stay perfect
Al Farouq Aminu dropped monster numbers as Portland Trailblazers beat Victor Oladipo’s Indiana Pacers 114-96 at the Bankers life field house on Friday.
The Chief maintained his position in the Blazers line up as CJ MCCollum who missed their historic win over Phoenix Suns in their first game of the season due to suspension returns.
Al Farouq Aminu lasted 35 minutes on the court the most by any player on both teams,including their star backcourt of Damian Lillard and CJ MCCollum as he once again made significant impact within the time he spent on the court.
He had 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting, he made 2-of-4 shots behind the arc, 16 rebounds, 4 of which were offensive, 12 were defensive rebounds. He led both teams in rebound with closest to his 16 was at distance 7 by Dame.
He had a great block, 2 assists, and a steal as his contributions on both end of the court helped the fourt youngest NBA squad co tinue their 100% start to the new season.
Retuning CJ MCCollum dropped 28 points to lead the Blazers victory. The “d” is the key to the Blazers good start to the new season and Al Farouq Aminu has played a great role in that department so far.
