Liverpool set unwanted Premier League record

Liverpool have set a club record following their 4-1 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday, but it is not the kind of record Jurgen Klopp would have wanted for them.

The Reds shipped four goals as they went down 4-1 to Tottenham at the national stadium, with both Dejan Lovren and Simon Mignolet committing dreadful errors as Kane (twice), Son Heung-min and Dele Alli all found the net.

Ironically, the team who have conceded the most in the division’s (post-1992) history are Spurs on 1,237, followed by Everton, Aston Villa, West Ham, Newcastle and now Liverpool.

Southampton are the next team likely to reach three figures, as they sit on 975, with Chelsea (935) and Manchester City (929) next on the list.

Manchester United have conceded 851 goals, putting them 13th on the list.
