Warriors make it 12 straight win, Cavs beaten again

The Golden State Warriors extended their perfect start to the NBA season to 12 games with a 115-110 win over the Toronto Raptors.

Steph Curry led the way once more for the Warriors as the MVP’s 37 points saw Golden State to their win at ORACLE Arena on Tuesday.

Klay Thompson (19 points) and Andrew Bogut (13) also had double figures for last season’s champions.

Kyle Lowry (28 points) and DeMar DeRozan (28) were the major contributors for the Raptors.

The Cleveland Cavaliers slipped to their second straight loss, suffering a 104-99 defeat to the Detroit Pistons.

LeBron James had 30 points, but the Pistons benefitted from a far more even contribution.

Andre Drummond pulled down 18 rebounds to go with 25 points, Reggie Jackson had a double-double of 23 points and 12 assists and Ersan Ilyasova (20) also impressed.

Hassan Whiteside had a triple-double of 22 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks, but his Miami Heat were beaten 103-91 by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Andrew Wiggins finished with a game-high 24 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns had 14 points and 14 rebounds.

A 29-point, 11-rebound performance from Kristaps Porzingis saw the New York Knicks past the Charlotte Hornets 102-94.

Elsewhere, the Washington Wizards thrashed the Milwaukee Bucks 115-86 and Thaddeus Young hit two late free-throws in the Brooklyn Nets’ 90-88 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

The struggling New Orleans Pelicans were beaten for the 10th time in 11 games, going down to the Denver Nuggets 115-98.
