PSG want Antonio Conte as Unai Emery’s replacement – not Jose Mourinho
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with the role, with the Portuguese coach even talking up the Ligue 1 outfit recently.
However it is Chelsea manager Conte that PSG bosses have identified as the ideal replacement for current boss Unai Emery.
French publication Le Parisien report that PSG have made contact with the Italian’s entourage about making the switch. However there is a chance that Emery will be retained beyond this season – but only if he manages to guide PSG to the Champions League semi-finals.
A failure to do so will see him axed and a replacement found.
However he’s not expected to remain beyond his current contract, which expires in 2019. After some poor results earlier this season, it was even reported that Chelsea were considering firing him.
