Olivier Giroud matches Victor Moses’ long standing record
French striker, Olivier Giroud has joined retired Nigerian attacker, Victor Moses in an exclusive Chelsea list.
Olivier Giroud who scored the second goal in Chelsea’s 2-1 away win against Malmo on Thursday in their Europa League round 32 first leg game, becomes just the second Chelsea player to score in four successive games in European competition.
The feat was first achieved by Victor Moses in 2013 when Chelsea won the Europa League, Olivier Giroud has now match the feat having scored in 4 consecutive Europa League games.
For Victor Moses he scored in Chelsea’s 3-1 home win against Rubin Kazan, 3-2 loss to Rubin Kazan, 1-2 away win against Basel, and in 3-1 home win against Basel.
For Olivier Giroud, he scored the only goal in Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Bate Borisov, a brace in Chelsea 4-0 home win against PAOK and scored in Chelsea’s 2-2 aainst Vidi at MOL Aréna Sóstó. His goal today against Malmo made it 4 in 4.
