Oshoala scores 5th league goal as Barca beat Atletico at Wanda Metropolitano before a record 60,739 fans
Super Falcons’ attacker Asisat Oshoala was on target as Barcelona Femini beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 in a league game at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday in front of record fans.
There were 60,739 fans at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium when Asisat Oshoala put her side in front for her 5th league goal of the season.
Toni Duggan scored the goal that completed the 2-0 away win against Barcelona fierce rivals, Atletico Madrid.
The previous record attendance for a club women’s game was set in 2018, when a match between Mexican sides Monterrey and Tigres was played in front of 51,211.
Barcelona are now just three points behind leaders Atletico Madrid on the table.
The Super Falcons star and her Spanish club will on Wednesday take on Lillestrom of Norway in the quarterfinal of the Champions League.
