Ronaldo: Scoring in Serie A extremely difficult compared to La Liga or Premiership

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has rated the difficulty level of scoring a goal in Serie A the highest compared to other too European leagues.

Cristiano Ronaldo who joined Juventus this summer from Real Madrid, spent five years in England with Manchester United where he scored 84 goals in 196 league games and nine season in Spain with Real Madrid where he scored 311 goals in 292 league games.

But the five-time ballon d’Or winner said it is Serie A where he has only spent seven months that is extremely difficult to score a goal than other leagues where he had previously played in.

“Individually, things have been going very well, I’ve adapted to the Italian league and it’s a difficult league, the most difficult one for me and for all forwards,” he told DAZN.

“It’s the most difficult league for me, it’s full of quality players, I didn’t expect so much quality in the Italian league, they’re very good but I’ve adjusted well.

“It’s harder to score in the Italian league than in the Spanish league. The Spanish league is more open and the teams risk more.

“Here, not so much. Here the priority is to defend well first and then attack and that is no the case in Spain. Spanish games are more open. Always with most teams.

“The English league is the same, where I played for five years, is the same, it’s harder to score in Italy, in my opinion.”

Ronaldo has made 29 goal contributions in his debut Serie A season with 19 goals and 10 assists in 25 starts.
