Nyima Nwagua’s brace fires Kano Pillars past FC Ifeanyiubah
Nyima Nwagua scored two goals and veteran Rabiu Ali added the third to help Kano Pillars land heavy blow on FC Ifeanyiubah in their rearranged Nigeria Professional Football League game played at Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday.
Kano Pillars backed their impressive 2-0 away win against Kada City with another win this time against FC Ifeanyiubah.
As early as the third minute, Nyima Nwagua put Kano Pillars in front after nodding the ball past FC Ifeanyiubah goalie from a close range.
Yaro Bature’s fine pass created the goal.
The goal was the difference between the sides at the end of the first 45 minutes of action.
Nyima Nwagua completed his brace in the 62nd minute after rounding FCIU goalie.
13 minutes after the second goal, Rabiu Ali scored the third goal from the spot. The penalty was awarded after FCIU Jimoh Gbadamosi handled a goal-bound move in the box.
Rabiu dispatched the penalty to seal his side’s second leg win in two games.
The win takes Kano Pillars to 4th with 20 points while FCIU remains 3rd with 21 points from the same number of games played (12).
