What Kanu said about Dream Team VII, Osimhen, Nwakali and Chukwueze will excite Nigerians

The captain of the firstever Dream Team, Nwankwo Kanu has spoken about what he saw from Dream Team VII.

The Nigerian legend appeared pleased with what he saw on Monday as he urged the team to get to the finish line.

“I was very impressed with the overall performance of the team on Monday, said Kanu Nwankwo as quoted by AOIFootball.

The Olympics Eagles overturned a 2-0 first leg deficit with their 4-0 second leg win to book their place in the final qualifying round against Sudan. Kanu Nwankwo singled out three players namely; Samuel Chukwueze, Kelechi Nwakali and Victor Osimhen for praise.

In fact, the former Super Eagles captain wants the players to be considered for the 2019 AFCON.

“Again Kelechi Nwakali showed his worth and dominated the midfield, I believe he has come of age and should be given a chance with the senior national team. The AFCON is just three months away so we must select our best legs in the tournament.

“Also, Chukwueze showed he has plenty to offer and the hat-trick boy, Osimhen also showed good promise. I believe the future remains bright for Nigerian football,” Kanu concluded.
