Al-Farouq Aminu posts 7th postseason career double-double in Portland’s 97-90 win at Denver to tie series

D’Tigers forward Al-Farouq Aminu bounced back from an uncharacteristic display in Portland Trailblazers Western Conference semifinal game one loss to Denver Nuggets to deliver the goods in game two.

The 28-year-old showed why he is a fundamental part of the Blazers by posting his 7th postseason career double-double in a low scoring road win against Denver Nuggets.

His efforts on both ends of the floor was noticed as he posted the highest rebounds of any player on his team and his team’s 5th highest points; in fact he had zero turn over in 31 minutes he spent on the court.

Al-Farouq Aminu posted 11 points and 10 rebounds for his first post season double-double of 2018-2019 and his career total of seven.

Al-Farouq Aminu had one in 2014-15, four in 2015-16 when Portland crashed in the semifinal of the Western semifinal to the Golden State Warriors, one in 2017-18 and one already in 2018 -2019 season.

The semifinal series with Denver Nuggets is now tied at 1-1 as games move to Portland Trailblazers’ Moda Center.

Al-Farouq Aminu posted 12 double-double in the 2018-19 regular season.
