Real Madrid named Forbes’ most valuable club as EPL teams dominate top-20 list
Real Madrid have been ranked the most valuable football club in the world, according to the latest annual list, compiled by Forbes magazine.
Madrid, who are worth £3.38bn, are closely followed by perennial rivals, Barcelona, who are valued at £3.19bn.
The highlight of the list, however, is the dominance of the English Premier League clubs, who occupy as many as nine positions in the top 20 list.
Manchester United are the most valuable club in England, with a value of £3.03bn, while their city neighbours Manchester City are valued at £2.15bn.
Former champions Chelsea (£2.07bn), Arsenal (£1.83bn), Liverpool (£1.74bn) and Tottenham Hotspurs (£1.29bn) complete the English lineup in the top 10.
Bayern Munich, with a value of £2.39bn and Juventus, who are valued at £1.2bn are the other two sides in the top 10.
In the bottom half of the table, Paris Saint Germain are placed 11th, Atletico Madrid (£760m) on 12th, while Borussia Dortmund (£714m) are 13th.
Other English clubs on the list are West Ham (£491m), Everton (£379m) and Newcastle United (£304m).
