Curry hails ´special´ Warriors streak
After leading the Golden State Warriors to a 20-0 record, Steph Curry hailed the “special” atmosphere within the dominant reigning NBA champions’ locker room.
Curry, last season’s MVP, has begun this campaign in stunning form and his 40-point haul against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday led the Warriors to a 116-99 victory and extended their winning streak.
Speaking after his remarkable performance in his college town Charlotte, Curry said: “In the NBA, there are so many great teams and great talents, to be able to put on a run like this it’s special.
“It says a lot about our focus night in, night out, we don’t always play our best but we just try to find different ways to win and that’s the strength of our team.
“Every night, a different guy might step up and have a huge game, do little things that might not show up in stats sheets but if you step back and think about what 20-0 means, it’s hard to celebrate it really because you know there’s so much more of the season left and obviously we want to be playing our best come play-off time.
“We understand how we’re winning and we’ve got to bottle that up for the rest of the year.”
