Real Madrid a win from La Liga title after 2-1 win against Ramon Azeez Granada

Real Madrid have taken a huge step to winning the Spanish La Liga title after securing a 2-1 win against Ramon Azeez Granada on Monday.

Zinedine Zidane men knew a win would push them closer to their first La Liga title since 2016-17 season and they duly delivered.

Real Madrid who had been a super team since La Liga resumed raced into a 2-goal lead through Ferland Mendy and Karim Benzema but the hosts reduced the deficit to 1 in the second half.

Ramon Azeez and his over achieving teammates pushed for an equaliser as they also continued to chase an Europa slot but they failed to find the equalizing goal.

The game ended 2-1 at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes in favour of Real Madrid who secured their 9th win since La Liga resumed.

Ramon Azeez was on the pitch the entire duration of the game and gave a good account of himself but he and his teammates were not able to stop Madrid as they edge closer to their 34th La Liga title.

With two games to go, a win is all that Real Madrid need to claim the 2019/2020 La Liga title.
