Guardiola: They will give the PFA Player of the year award to a Liverpool player as usual
Pep Guardiola is certain the 2020 PFA Player of the year award will be giving to a Liverpool player because it would always be given to them regardless.
City boss has suggested that a Liverpool player would be given the award regardless.
The former Barcelona boss said without thinking twice that a player from Liverpool would win the award despite a strong case for his player, Kevin De Bruyne to win the award.
Liverpool players, Mo Salah and Virgil van Dijk have won the last two editions even when it was Manchester City who won the title in both years.
“The winner will be from Liverpool,” said Pep Guardiola.
“When we won the Premier League the Liverpool players won.
“When they win the league, I’m pretty sure they are going to win the player of the season. These awards are always for Liverpool.”
The last three candidates for this season award are Saido Mane, Jordan Henderson and Kevin De Bruyne.
