Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred has been hailed as the midfielder in the Premier League after his great display in Leicester City 2-0 win at Tottenham.
The 24-year-old midfielder who recently returned from injury played in Leicester City biggest game of the season like he was never injured.
Although, Jamie Vardy’s goal from the spot kick and an own goal from Toby Alderweireld gifted Leicester City the 2-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Wilfred Ndidi’s input cannot be swept aside.
The Nigerian midfielder was a major factor in Leicester City’s win against a well drilled Jose Mourinho side.
Wilfred Ndidi was a joy to watch for the neutrals, Leicester City players and a pain to the opposition with his tireless display.
He won all his tackles (4), completed 94% of his passes (46), made a massive 19 ball recoveries – the highest any player has ever made in the Premier League in a year.
Wilf won 5 of his duels he contested for, made 2 interceptions, created one chance and made 3 accurate long passes. It was a complete display from the Nigerian.
He showed he could mix it all, defend and as well pass the ball.
And his display made fans all over to name in the best in the Premier League.
He was also rated 9 by Leicester City Mercury: “Back in midfield and back to doing what he does best.
