Aribo finds the net as Rangers rout Ross County in the SPL
Rangers now 23 points clear of nearest rivals
Nigerian midfielder, Joe Aribo scored a stunning solo goal as Rangers defeated Ross County by 5 goals to nil. The 23 year old scored what was Rangers third goal in the 37th minute of the encounter after he cut in from the right flank, beat two men and hit an unstoppable shot from just inside the box that flew past the goalkeeper.
Rangers opened the scoring through Ryan Kent, before Filip Helander added a second. Aribo’s fifth goal of the season made it 3-0 in the first half. They added two further goals in the second half through Ryan Jack and Conor Goldson. The match was Steven Gerrard’s 150th in charge of the Ibrox club.
The result moved Rangers 23 points clear of Old Firm rivals, Celtic. Rangers are only 10 wins away from sealing the league title for the first time since 2011.
