Lewandowski, Haaland light up Der Klassiker as Bayern triumph 4-2

Bayern Munich’s talismanic striker, Robert Lewandowski scored a hattrick as his side overcame bitter rivals, Borussia Dortmund 4-2 in the Klassiker derby on Saturday in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund prodigy, Erling Haaland opened the scoring after just 2 minutes, before he added a second 7 minutes later with his 19th league goal of the season to give Dortmund an early 2-0 lead in the game. Bayern Munich hit back through Lewandowski in the 26th minute, before a 44th minute penalty drew them level. Bayern midfielder, Leon Goretzka scored a third goal on the 88th minute, before Lewandowski completed his hattrick in the 90th minute. Haaland left the game in the 60th minute as a precaution after he had been down injured.

Lewandowski has now scored 31 goals in the Bundesliga this season in only 23 appearances as he looks to be on course to break Gerd Muller’s Bundesliga goalscoring record of 40 goals.
