Ahmed Musa completes sensational Kano Pillars return

Back to NPFL after 10 years abroad

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has today completed a return to Kano Pillars where he first made his name as a top class player on a short term deal until the end of the 2020/21 NPFL season.

The 28-year-old scored 18 league goals in his only previous season at Kano Pillars as a teenager, the 2009/2010 season after he joined the club from JUTH FC. He moved from Kano Pillars to Dutch side, VVV Venlo before moving to CSKA Moscow, Leicester City and Al Nassr.

Musa has been without a club since leaving Saudi side, Al Nassr at the end of last season, and was named as part of the Super Eagles squad where he played the closing stages of the 3-0 win over Lesotho. The speedy winger will look to propel Sai Masu Gida, currently in second place on the NPFL log to the summit of the league and possibly win them the title.

His unveiling is expected to be done before the resumption of the second stanza of the league in April.
