Zidane, Casemiro, Vini agree on one thing about Chelsea after Madrid’s elimination

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane and a few of his players have agreed on one thing about Chelsea after their 3-1 aggregate semi-final loss on Wednesday.

A goal each half from Timo Werner and Mason Mount earned a well-deserving 2-0 win for Chelsea in the semi-final second leg game on Wednesday.

The game was almost a one-sided game where Chelsea could have easily scored 4-5 un-replied goals against the 13th time Champions League winner.

And Zinedine Zidane led the way by heaping praises on his opponent admitting that the London side were by far the better team.

“We have tried but Chelsea have been superior and we must congratulate them,” said Zidane.

“There is no need to look for excuses here.

“If you watch the game, Chelsea have deserved their victory.”

He was not alone in heaping praises on Chelsea, his Brazilian midfielder, Casemiro also praised the 2012 Champions League winners

“The first 25 minutes we played better, we had two chances with Karim.

“After there is no explanation, they were better and there is no excuse.

“We have to think about the League now, there is no need for regrets.

“We are sad because it was a great occasion.

“We showed that what we did is historical, it’s not easy to win the Champions League.

“All the games are very difficult. It has been shown that it is not easy.

“Chelsea must be congratulated because they have played better than us.”

In fact, Vinicius Junior who played as a wing back in the game called Thomas Tuchel side a great team

“We faced a great team. It’s time to continue fighting for LaLiga.”
