Onuachu wins big in Belgian Jupiler League awards

Wins two awards for his excellent performance

KRC Genk and Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu was awarded as the Belgian Jupiler League’s highest goal scorer and best player at the annual end of season awards presentation following his sparkling performance for his side in the league this season.

The 26-year-old striker scored 33 times in 38 appearances for his side, leading them to a second-place finish in the league, only behind Club Brugge. He was awarded the Golden Bull for scoring the most goals in the league, and also received another award for being the league’s best player in the 2020/21 season.

The striker is expected to receive the Ebony Shoe award given to the best player of African descent in the league. He has been linked with a move abroad this summer, with clubs in Europe’s Top 5 leagues hovering around and looking to sign him. He also scored two goals in two games for the Super Eagles of Nigeria on international duty back in March.
