Conte set to part ways with Inter Milan after Scudetto win

Club's financial condition set to lead to summer clearout

Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte is on the verge of leaving the club by mutual consent after the club made it clear that they can not afford to fund the Italian’s project for next season due to the financial crisis faced by the club.

The former Juventus and Chelsea manager has decided to part ways with the club after the club’s owners announced that they were at financial crossroads and needed to sell players worth at least €80 million, and also asked the players to agree to pay cuts in order to save cost. He was said to have made it clear to the club that he needed to buy more players to keep the club winning next season, but the club failed to provide any assurance of that happening.

The Italian manager joined Inter Milan in the summer of 2019 and led them to the Europa League final in his first season at the club before winning the Serie A in his second season. He is expected to receive a sum of €7 million in compensation as his contract was due to run until 2022.
