Watford signs Super Eagles forward Bonaventure

Nigerian forward Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure has joined newly-promoted English Premier League side Watford FC on a permanent basis from Belgian Jupiler League champions Club Brugge for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old one-cap Super Eagle spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at Bundesliga side FC Cologne after falling out of favour at Club Brugge. The forward is most memorably remembered for his performance in the UEFA Champions League against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu where he found the net twice in a stellar performance for the Belgian side.

Bonaventure will join fellow Nigerians William Troost-Ekong, Isaac Success and Tom Dele-Bashiru at Vicarage Road in the 2021/22 Premier League season.
