Curry’s triple-double powers Warriors past LeBron’s Lakers

Stephen Curry’s first regular season triple-double double in five years helped the Warriors to a 121-114 win against Lakers.

Curry who said he played like a trash during his post match interview chalked a triple-double as Warriors started the season with a big win.

On the night where the balls were not falling for Curry he posted 21 points, 10 boards and 10 dimes.

Jordan Poole carried his good pre-season form into the opening game dropping 20 points (16 came in the second half).

Nemanja Bjelica contributed 15 points and 11 rebounds as Warriors complete a three-game win (including pre-season) against the Lakers.

Lakers super star duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis had their own double-double in the loss.

James had 34 points, 11 rebounds – Davis dropped 33 points and 11 boards but their other super star player Westbrook played poorly.

Westbrook had 8 points in 35 minutes, turned the ball over 4 times one short of LeBron’s 5.
