Unstoppable Phoenix Suns pick up 13th consecutive NBA win
Nets, 76ers, Bucks, Celtics all win
Phoenix Suns continued their remarkable resurgence in the NBA with a 13th consecutive win to reach second place on the Western Conference standings.
Phoenix Suns defeated the San Antonio Spurs 115-111 away from home to improve their record to 14-3 for the season. Devin Booker led the scoring for the Suns with 23 points as they held off a fourth-quarter comeback from the Spurs. DeAndre Ayton contributed a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds in the game.
Brooklyn Nets defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 117-112 to improve to 13-5 for the season. Kevin Durant led the scoring for the Nets as James Harden and LaMarcus Aldridge contributed a double-double each. Durant had 27 points while Harden finished with 14 points and 14 assists in the game. Aldridge had 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Charlotte Hornets picked up a 109-103 win over the Washington Wizards. Terry Rozier led the scoring for the Hornets with 32 points, while LaMelo Ball contributed a double-double for the Hornets with 28 points and 13 rebounds.
Atlanta Hawks defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 113-101. Trey Young led the scoring for the Hawks with 30 points, four rebounds and six assists in the game. Clint Capela finished with a double-double of ten points and 14 rebounds for the Hawks.
Boston Celtics inflicted a 16th defeat of the season on the Houston Rockets with a 108-90 win in which Jayson Tatum led the scoring with 30 points, six rebounds and three assists. Jaylen Brown finished with 19 points on his return to the Celtics lineup.
Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 110-96 to condemn them to a 16th defeat of the season. Karl-Anthony Towns recorded a double-double of 28 points and ten rebounds, and Anthony Edwards finished with 18 points.
Indiana Pacers comprehensively defeated the Chicago Bulls 109-77 in their NBA clash. Domantas Sabonis led the scoring with 21 points and 11 rebounds for the Pacers, and Malcolm Brogdon finished with 16 points.
Champions Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Orlando Magic 123-92 at the Fiserv Forum Arena. Seven of the Bucks’ players recorded double-figure points, with Jrue Holiday leading the scoring with 18 points. D’Tigers star Jordan Nwora recorded 14 points, seven rebounds and an assist for the Bucks.
Memphis Grizzlies picked up a narrow 119-118 win over Utah Jazz. Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr and Desmond Bane combined for 86 points for the Grizzlies in the game as they improved their record to 9-8 for the season.
Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Sacramento Kings 102-94 to pick up their 10th win of the season. Tyrese Maxey finished with 24 points for the Sixers, and Shake Milton had 16 points as Matisse Thybulle finished with 15 points. Andre Drummond racked up an impressive 23 rebounds in the game.
