He is nobody without African stars – Senegal coach Cisse blasts arrogant Klopp

He was losing finals before the arrivalnof African stars

Senegal coach Aliou Cissé has hit out at Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp over his AFCON a little tournament claims.

Last week the Liverpool manager caused a great stir when he called the AFCON a little tournament during a post match conference.

The German was presented an opportunity to clarify his statement but he made the matter worst.

And Aliou Cissé has has his say regarding the matter.

The former Teranga Lions captain said the former Mainz 05 manager is nobody without African stars.

“I manage Senegal and my players play for Klopp at Liverpool, I respect Liverpool not Klopp who undermines African football events.

“He is where he is today because of African footballers.

“Without them he was losing every finals until Salah, Mané, Matip came to his rescue to win the first ever major European big final.

“Today he has the guts to call AFCON  “ASmall Tournament”.

“AFCON has the same number of participants 24 like their UEFA Euro, who does he think he is?

“AFCON will have the same superstars that are currently helping him to shine at Liverpool. AFCON is in same quality as Euros.

“I am glad Mané is still humble despite being under an arrogant man!”

Aliou Cisse may speak the English language but he, obviously, doesn’t understand it very well. Ask him to look up the words ironic & sarcastic.
Jurgen Klopp was being sarcastic, not disrespectful. He was actually telling everyone that they had forgotten the importance of the African Cup of Nations.
Does Cisse not understand how the English language has many meanings for the same phrase, depending on how it’s said?
I think he owes Jurgen Klopp an apology.
Also, he needs to remember, all these players were under performing until Klopp coached them.
