Super Eagles of Nigeria trashed Falcons of Jediane Sudan on Saturday.
Samuel Chukwueze, Taiwo Awoniyi and Simon Moses scored the goals in the 3-1 win against Sudan.
Below is sportsration.com ratings of the Eagles stars.
1. Maduka Okoye – (6/10)
Shaky at times, invited pressure towards the end of the game with his missed catches.
2. Ola Aina – (7/10)
Involved in the first goal with the long throw. Had a good game except for the penalty he gave away.
22. Kenneth Omeruo (8/10)
Another 8/10 display. Always there when needed.
5. William Troost-Ekong (8/10)
Continues to play from the back. Did his defensive and captain duties well.
12. Sanusi Zaidu (7/10)
He was good again, apart from when Wilfred Ndidi was telling him to calm down towards the end of the second half.
You can fault him for anything.
4. Wilfred Ndidi (8/10)
Another 8/10 for Wilf., was everywhere mopping things as expected.
10. Joe Aribo (8/10)
Praised by every Nigerian, adored by the Rangers fans who saw the game.
He showed another side to his game that we may not have seen before – physicality.
Again, Joe was rock solid – flying in for tackles, intercepting and making ball recoveries.
14. Kelechi Iheanacho (7/10)
Did a good job.
15. Simon Moses (9/10)
Man of the match for a reason. Scored a goal and assisted a goal.
He continued from where he left it against Egypt.
Was on for the entire game. Did all that was asked of him but still needs to work on his deliveries in the final third.
17. Samuel Chukwueze (8/10)
Gave a show that Austin Okocha and other Nigerians who saw him in the first game asked for.
He was much better in this game than he was in the first game.
Scored Nigeria’s first goal. He only played for 45 minutes but it was enough to impress everyone.
19. Taiwo Awoniyi (7/10)
Scored Nigeria’s second goal but has to improve.
He could easily have a brace today but he missed a few chances.
The Subs
18. Alex Iwobi (6/10)
Subbed on for Samuel Chukwueze in the second half. Played a good 45 minutes from the flank.
25. Kelechi Nwakali (6/10)
Subbed on for Joe Aribo. He combined well with Wilf Ndidi.
7. Ahmed Musa (6)
Came for Iheanacho and impress.
24. Sadiq Umar (5)
Same like in the first game. This does not look like the Almeria Sadiq.
He needs to calm down and make use of his time to prove he belongs here.
Coach Augustine Eguavoen (9/10)
Got his tactics spot on, made right changes and at the right time.
