Ibom Youth FC v Bayelsa Utd pre-season friendly postponed
The pre-season friendly tie between Ibom Youth FC and Bayelsa United FC earlier billed for Friday 28th January 2022 has been moved to Saturday 29th January 2022.
The team manager of Ibom Youth FC Mr Etido Inyang made the announcement today at the West Itam sports center where Ibom Youth FC were held to a goalless draw by Fullife football Academy.
The friendly match fixed for Saturday is to prepare both Ibom Youth FC and Bayelsa United for the new Nigeria National League season set to start on Friday 11, February 2022.
Ibom Youth FC will kick start their campaign away from home with a trip to Abeokuta where they will face Abeokuta Stormers (Formerly Nilayo FC).
While reigning Aiteo Cup Champions, Bayelsa United will begin their 2021/2022 Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign against Anambra-based side, FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
But before the first game of the NNL, both Ibom Youth FC and Bayelsa United will play a pre-season friendly at the Ikot Ekpene Township Stadium this Saturday by 4pm.
Forty-six (46) clubs: twenty(21) in the Northern Conference and twenty-five (25) in the Southern Conference are expected to feature in the 2021/2022 NNL season.
