NBA Recap: Brooklyn Nets lose sixth successive game as Lakers, Grizzlies win

Rockets, Celtics, Thunder all win

The Brooklyn Nets looked far from their best in their 112-101 defeat at the hands of the Sacramento Kings as they fell to a sixth straight defeat in the NBA this season.

Harrison Barnes led the scoring for the Kings with 19 points as Davion Mitchell and Buddy Hield contributed 18 points, each. D’Tigers star Chimezie Metu contributed a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Nicholas Claxton recorded a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds for the Nets.

The Orlando Magic defeated the Indiana Pacers 119-118. Gary Harris led the scoring for the Magic with 22 points, and Wendell Carter Jr had 19 points and 18 rebounds for the Magic.

The Washington Wizards defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 106-103 in their NBA clash. Spencer Dinwiddie recorded a triple-double of 14 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the Wizards, and Kyle Kuzma led the scoring with 24 points.

The Boston Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets 113-107 after a huge team effort. Of the eight players who represented the Celtics in the game, only Dennis Schroder and Al Horford failed to reach a double figure for points. Josh Richardson led the scoring with 23 points, as Marcus Smart recorded 22 points.

The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the New York Knicks 120-108 in their NBA clash. Jaren Jackson Jr led the scoring with 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Ja Morant recorded 23 points.

The Houston Rockets defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 115-104. Christian Wood and Jalen Green led the scoring for the Rockets with 21 points each in the game.

Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Dallas Mavericks 120-114 in their NBA encounter. Luguentz Dort led the scoring for the Thunder with 30 points and Terence Mann scored 29 points. Luka Doncic led all scorers in the game with 40 points and 10 rebounds.

Utah Jazz defeated the Denver Nuggets 108-104 despite the absence of their main stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. Trent Forrest led the scoring with 18 points and Mike Conley scored 17 points for the Jazz.

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 99-94 in their encounter on Wednesday. Anthony Davis led the scoring for the Lakers with 30 points and 15 rebounds in the game, and Carmelo Anthony dropped 24 points for the Lakers.
