Two Nigerian eligibles named in Arsenal PL game against Wolves
Zachariah Olumide Awe and Authur Okonkwo
Two players of Nigerian descent have been named on the bench as Arsenal tackle Wolverhampton in a Premier League game on Thursday.
After losing a couple of players during the January transfer window, Arsenal are left with a thin squad and now have to call on players from their academy.
Two players who have made the squad for the trip to Wolverhampton are of Nigerian descent.
Everyone is familiar with Bukayo Saka who has gone on to represent England over Nigeria.
The winger was one the Three Lions stars as the finished second at Euro 2020.
Nigeria struggled with England for the allegiance of the Hale End product but he chose the Three Lions of Super Eagles.
There could be another head-to-head between the FA and NFF over these new players too.
The players are defender Zachariah Olumide Awe and goalkeeper Authur Okonkwo.
Both players are in line for their debut today at the Molineux Stadium.
