It was a great weekend for Nigerian players plying their trades abroad as a host of them were on the scorers’ chart for their respective clubs.
A few of them were instrumental to their team’s win while a few were on the losing side.

10. Alex Iwobi (Everton 3-0 Leeds United)
Alex Iwobi may have found a new lease to life under Everton’s new manager Frank Lampard. The former Chelsea manager gave Iwobi a starting berth and we are convinced he did enough to keep his place in their next game.
The Arsenal academy graduate played well as Everton secured a big 3-0 win against Leeds United.
9. Anthony Nwakaeme (Trabzonspor 2-1 Konyaspor)
