NBA Recap: Ja Morant scores career-high tally in Grizzlies win as Raptors thrash Nets

Timberwolves, Heat, Bucks, Kings all win

Ja Morant had a night to remember as the youngster recorded a career-high points tally in the Memphis Grizzlies 118-105 win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Ja Morant recorded a career-high 46 points on Saturday when the Grizzlies defeated the Chicago Bulls, but he went and rewrote his own record with 52 points against the Spurs. He also added seven rebounds in the game.

Ja Morant has become the first player in Memphis Grizzlies history to record a 50-point game. He did it from 22 of 30 shooting, and drained all four three pointers he attempted. The Grizzlies have now won all of their last five meetings with the Spurs.

The Milwaukee Bucks picked up a 130-106 win over the Charlotte Hornets to bounce back from their last defeat. All five Bucks starters recorded double figure points tallies, with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the scoring with 26 points and 16 rebounds.

The Sacramento Kings recorded a 131-110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder. DeAaron Fox led the scoring for the Kings with 29 points and 10 rebounds in the game. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led all scorers in the game with 37 points, but was unable to prevent the loss for his side.

Miami Heat moved clear of the Chicago Bulls at the summit of the Eastern Conference after a 112-99 win over the same opponents. D’Tigers star Gabe Vincent recorded 20 points for the Heat, as did Tyler Herro. D’Tigers hopeful Ayo Dosunmu scored 18 points for the Bulls in the game.

Rookie star Scottie Barnes was unstoppable for the Toronto Raptors as they defeated the Brooklyn Nets 133-97. The youngster recorded 28 points and 16 rebounds for the Raptors in the game, and D’Tigers ace Precious Achiuwa recorded 20 points for them.

The Orlando Magic defeated the Indiana Pacers 119-10 in the NBA on Sunday. Wendell Carter Jr led the scoring with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Mo Bamba and Franz Wagner recorded 15 points apiece.

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 127-122. D’Angelo Russell led the scoring for the Timberwolves with 25 points in the game, as Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards each scored 17 points.
