Anthony Nwakaeme becomes first Nigerian to hit double-figure goals and assists in top European leagues
Anthony Nwakaeme scored a powerful placement and assisted a goal to help Trabzonspor to a 4-2 win against Goztepe in a Turkish Super Lig game on Saturday.
The 32-year-old who has only played in one competitive game continued his top form scoring another goal in another week.
Fresh from his goal against Fenerbache last week, Anthony Nwakaeme scored Trabzonspor’s first goal which was an equalizer.

It was a powerful shot from outside the box.
Anthony Nwakaeme was again involved in the goal when he set up Djaniny for Tranzonspor’s third goal of the game.
In the end, two goals from Abdulkadir Omur, one from Anthony Nwakaeme, and Djaniny handed league leaders Trabzonspor a 4-2 win.
The goal and assist took his contribution to 21 (11 goals and 10 assists) in 23 games, he is the only Nigerian player in Europe’s top league to his double figures for goals and assists this season.
There is no Nigerian player with his consistency but he doesn’t get invited to play for the National Team.
