The 2021/2022 Nigerian National League season entered it’s Ninth week this weekend . EFCC were 1-0 victors over Yobe Desert Stars on Friday 1st April 2022. On Saturday 2nd April Ibom Youths Fc were 2-1 Winners over Ikorodu United.
The game at the Ikot Ekpene Township stadium saw the Visitors take the lead in the 11th minute through Ismail Salami . First half ended Ibom Youths Fc 0-1 Ikorodu United.
Ibom Youths Fc returned for the second half like a house on fire and eventually got the equalizer in the 75th minute when Defender Adrian Eddidion slotted past experienced Goalkeeper Itodo Akor from 18 yards.
In the 80th Minute , a long throw by Defender Iniobong Bassey could not be cleared out by the Ikorodu United defenders thus gifting Ibom Youths Fc Midfielder Ndifreke John a glorious opportunity to smash in the winning goal . It finished Ibom Youths Fc 2-1 Ikorodu United.
In Kebbi, Road Safety Fc fell to a 1-0 defeat in the hands of the Atiku Bagudu boys in what was a tension soaked yet entertaining game in Birnin Kebbi .
