76ers, Heat, Jazz, Thunder all pick up wins
Phoenix Suns picked up a franchise-record 63rd win of the regular season with a 121-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, who are now officially out of the race for the playoffs.
The Lakers were without the injured LeBron James for a second game running, and they have now lost seven straight games to officially put the playoffs beyond their reach. Devin Booker led the scoring for the Suns with 32 points and DeAndre Ayton scored 22 points. Russell Westbrook led the scoring for the Lakers with 28 points.
New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Sacramento Kings 123-109 in their NBA encounter. Jaxson Hayes and CJ McCollum led the scoring for the Pelicans with 23 points apiece. Damion Jones scored 22 points for the Kings.
Utah Jazz picked up a 121-115 win in overtime over the Memphis Grizzlies to secure their playoff spot. Rudy Gobert led the scoring for the Jazz with 22 points and 21 rebounds, and Jordan Clarkson added 22 points in the game. Jaren Jackson Jr scored 28 points for the Grizzlies, who were without Ja Morant.
San Antonio Spurs secured a place in the play-in tournament with a 116-97 win over the Denver Nuggets. Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson both tallied 20 points apiece, and Nikola Jokic scored 41 points for the Nuggets.
Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 98-94 in their NBA encounter. Jaylen Hoard scored a career-high 24 points and 21 rebounds for the Thunder in their final home game of the regular season.
Washington Wizards defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 132-114. Kristaps Porzingis scored 25 points for the Wizards and Daniel Gafford added 24 points. Karl-Anthony Towns scored 26 points for the Timberwolves in the game.
Milwaukee Bucks secured championship of the Central Division for a fourth straight season with a 127-106 win over the Chicago Bulls. Brook Lopez led the scoring for the Bucks with 28 points as Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 18 points. DeMar DeRozan contributed 40 points for the Bulls.
Toronto Raptors picked up a place in the playoffs with a 118-108 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Pascal Siakam led the scoring with 31 points and 13 rebounds, and Scottie Barnes added 19 points and 14 rebounds in the game.
Miami Heat defeated the Charlotte Hornets 144-115 to pick up a fifth straight win and move closer to securing the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Tyler Herro led the scoring with 35 points and Jimmy Butler scored 27 points for the Heat.
Brooklyn Nets picked up a 118-105 win over the Houston Rockets to improve their position for the play-in tournament. Kyrie Irving led the scoring for the Nets with 42 points in the game.
Orlando Magic ended a six-game slump with a 120-115 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Mo Bamba scored 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Magic as Ignas Brazdeikis contributed 20 points, as well.
Philadelphia 76ers picked up a 131-122 win over the Indiana Pacers to level things in the Atlantic Division. Joel Embiid led the scoring with 45 points and 13 rebounds for the 76ers. Buddy Hield scored 25 points for the Pacers in the game.
