NFF: Amaju Pinnick Announces He Will Not Seek A 3rd Third Term As NFF President

Nigeria Football Federation President Amaju Pinnick makes U turn on third term plan. The Delta state born FIFA Executive committee member made this disclosure on Friday 8th April 2022 while speaking on ARISE Tv.

“I am eligible to run (for another term as NFF President), based on the statutes. Do I want to run, at this moment? It’s a no-no, because my family say so. They say I have put in my all, I have given my best and it is time to move on. ” – Amaju Pinnick told Arise TV.

The NFF boss has been at the receiving end of criticism following the failure of Nigeria’s Super Eagles to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with many Nigerians even suggesting the resignation of the entire Executive committee of the NFF .

This will bring to an end his 8 year reign (2014-2022) as NFF President. Highlights of Pinnick’s 8-year reign are the U17 World Cup win in 2015. 2016 and 2018 Women’s AWCON titles. A 2016 Olympics Bronze medal by the Dream team. Plus a bronze medal at the 2019 AFCON.
