Umar Sadiq scores 16th league goal to power Almeria past Ponferradina
....now two goals behind top scorer Borja Baston
Umar Sadiq has scored his 16th league of the season to help Almeria to a 3-0 win against Ponferradina in a Spanish second division league game on Monday.
The Nigerian striker scored the first goal of the game at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos in the 16th minute of the game.
Arnau Puigmal and Inigo Eguaras scored in the 52nd and 91 minutes to earn Almeria the 3-0 win that pushed them to the 2nd spot on the log.
The goal today is Umar Sadiq’s 16th league goal of the season, the Nigerian have also assisted 7 goals in 29 games.
He is now 4th on the top scorers’ log, 2 behind Real Oviedo’s Borja Baston (18), one behind Eibar’s Stoichkov and Girona’s Christian Stuani who have (17) each.
