Al Ahly beat Raja Casablanca, ES Setif beat Espérance
Al Ahly and ES Setif have booked their places in the Caf Champions Leagues semi-final after securing aggregate wins in the quarterfinal games.
The defending champions Al Ahly of Egypt had to overcome Raja Casablanca and their roaring home fans in their second leg clash on Friday.
After a tough 2-1 win in the first leg, Al Ahly fought for a 1-1 draw at the Mohammed V stadium where over 60,000 fans occupied a 45,000 capacity stadium.
Fabrice Luamba Ngoma 5th minutes strike put Raja Casablanca up before Mohamed Abdelmonem equalised in the 44th minute.
After a 3-2 aggregate win Al Ahly secured a place in the last four for the third consecutive seasons.
The other quarterfinal played today saw ES Setif secured a 1-0 away win against Espérance of Tunis.
Abdelmoumene Djabou scored the only goal as the Algerian club side secured an aggregate 1-0 win against Espérance.
