Samuel Kalu gets first Watford start as relegated Watford hold Alex Iwobi’s Everton

Samuel Kalu started his first game in Watford’s colours as they held Alex Iwobi’s to a goalless draw in a Premier League game on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles attacker who had played two games all from the bench was given the nod to start for the already relegated Watford in the clash against Everton.

Samuel Kalu played for 86 minutes but failed to help his side secure a win against Everton.

Oghenekaro Etebo was also in action for Watford as he came from the bench to play for 2 minutes while Super Eagles vice-captain William Troost-Ekong was an unused sub again.

Meanwhile, Alex Iwobi was on from the beginning of the match until the end as his Everton secured another valuable point useful for their survival push.

Everton now sits 16th, 2 points above 17th placed Burnley and 18th placed Leeds United.
