Zambia and Morocco pick World Cup tickets as Nigeria hope to face the hosts in the semis
The Shepolopolo of Zambia and the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco have booked their tickets to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup after their quarterfinal wins on Wednesday.
Shepolopolo of Zambia defeated the Teranga Lioness of Senegal in the first quarterfinal played on Wednesday, they won 4-2 on penalty after the game ended 1-1 after 120 minutes.
The second quarterfinal saw hosts Morocco beat Botswana 2-1 to become the first-ever North African nations to qualify for FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Zambia will now play the winner of the match between South Africa and Tunisia while Morocco will play the winner of the match involving Nigeria and Cameroon.

Morocco 2-1 Botswana
Cameroon v Nigeria (6pm)
South Africa v Tunisia (9pm)
