Edidiong Ezekiel scores on Remo Stars debut to seal friendly win
New Remo Stars striker Edidiong Ezekiel scored on his debut to secure a 1-0 win over Djeffa Fc of Benin Republic in a friendly game on Tuesday August 23.
The former Dakkada FC striker was handed a starting spot by Coach Daniel Ogunmudede at the Port Novo Stadium and justified his inclusion with a match winning strike.
In the 38th minute, Former Golden Eaglets forward Edidiong Ezekiel chased down the Djeffa Fc goalkepeer to win the ball and clinically finish for the only goal of the game.
The match played in Benin Republic on Tuesday August 23, is the second game involving the Sky Blues as they tour Benin Republic to prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup game vs ASFAR FC of Morroco in September .
On Monday August 22, Remo Stars fell to a 1-0 loss in the hands of another Benonoise Premier league side Coton Sports Fc .
Edidiong Ezekiel was not featured vs Coton Sports Fc as the Nigerian club bowed to their Benin Republic hosts at the Stade General Mathieu Kérekou De Cotonou .
