Umar Sadiq injures knee in Spain, likely to miss Algeria friendly

Umar Sadiq could miss the International friendly between Nigeria and Algeria at a new Stadium in Oran, Algeria, on September 27. 

The Super Eagles striker who recently made a big money move from Almeria to Real Sociedad picked up the injury today in a La Liga game.

Umar Sadiq who was on target in his first game for La Real, picked up the injury 38 minutes into the game at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez between Sociedad and Getafe.

As at the time of this report the game is ongoing and yet to be concluded so the extent of his injury is unknown but it looked bad.

The injury looked like a twist of his knee as he was helped out of the pitch on Sunday.

Hopefully the injury is nothing serious so he can continue his good form that has seen him scored thre La Liga goals this season.

With Victor Osimhen also ruled out of the friendly match, missing Sadiq Umar will be huge.
