CAF CC/CL: Super Sunday for Nigerian clubs

A super sunday September 18 it will be for Nigerian representatives in the 2022/2023 CAF Champions League/ Confederation Cup Rivers United , Plateau United , Remo Stars and Kwara United FC .

In Liberia , Rivers United FC will face Watanga FC by 5pm in the 2nd leg of their CAF Champions League first preliminary round clash .

 

The NPFL Champions head into the match boosting of a 3-0 aggregate advantage from the 1st leg in Port Harcourt Nigeria last week .

 

 

In the same Competition, Plateau United FC will host Gabonesse club AS Mandji at the MKO Abiola Stadium , Abuja by 4pm . The 1st leg ended 2-2 in Franceville on Saturday September 10 .

 

In the CAF Confederation Cup , Remo Stars Sports Club will be hosts of Morrocan side ASFAR FC at the Remo Stars Stadium , Ikenne Ogun State .

Remo Stars had on Sunday September 11 held ASFAR FC to a 1-1 draw in the 1st leg , striker Adams Olamilekan heading home the equalizer for Coach Daniel Ogunmudede’s side, the clubs first in CAF club competition .

 

Kwara United FC complete the Nigerian quartet in CAF club competition this season. The Harmony boys are in Niger Republic to face AS Douanes Niamey .

Kickoff for the 2nd leg of the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round tie is 5:15pm in Niamey , Nigerian club Kwara United FC will hope to preserve their first leg lead and progress to the second preliminary round .
