sharing that beautiful 120 minutes in Munich with you
Frank Lampard has revealed his pleasure going to battle with John Mikel Obi as tributes continue to pour in for the retired Super Eagles and Chelsea great, reports SportsRation.
As millions of football lovers including teammates continue to laud the beautiful career that John Mikel Obi had, Frank Lampard has taken it to a new dimension.
The Everton manager who spent 7 seasons playing alongside Mikel Obi has revealed his favourite moments with the Nigerian legend.
In the 2012 Champions League final when Chelsea played Bayern Munich in front of their fans at the Allianz Arena, the home team was the bookies’ favourites.
Chelsea were largely the underdogs, after missing several key players and having no fully fit defender going into the game.
But against all odds and great commitment and dedication from the team and most especially the effort put in by Mikel Obi, Lampard who played in the midfield two alongside Mikel has nothing but praise for him on his retirement day.
