Chukwuemeka makes Chelsea debut in 3-0 win over Wolves
Carney Chukwuemeka came off the bench for his Chelsea FC debut in a 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening.
With Chelsea 2-0 up, Graham Potter decided to introduce the English-Nigerian midfielder for his first senior appearance for the Blues.
Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea in the August 2022 from fellow English Premier League side Aston Villa and has only for the featured in the Premier League-2 prior to today’s game at Stamford Bridge.
The 18 year-old midfielder replaced Conor Gallagher in the 86th minute of the game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday October 8, 2022.
Kai Haverts scored with a looping header in the final seconds of the first half to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Pulisic doubled the advantage with his first goal of the season before substitute Armado Broja scored the third goal in the 89th minute to seal 3-0 win over Wolves at the Bridge.
Carney Chukwuemeka holds a dual nationality, Nigerian by birth and English by naturalization. The Midfielder has represented England at Youth level and still eligible for both the three lions and the Super Eagles.
