Milan beat Juventus to fire warning shots at Chelsea
AC Milan have fired a warning shot at Chelsea ahead of their UEFA Champions League Grup clash on Tuesday with a 2-0 win against Juventus on Saturday.
The reigning Italian Serie A champions recovered from a 3-0 battering they took in London in a Champions League game against Chelsea with a convincing win against their Italy rivals, Juventus.
After a tough end-to-end display from both teams at the San Siro stadium, Milan scored the first goal at the end of the first half when Fikayo Tomori reacted quickly to a loose ball.
The former Chelsea defender whose only goal for Milan in Serie A came against Juventus scored his second for the Rossoneri against the same team.
Milan who resumed the second half fighting for every ball and playing a lot better were rewarded with the second goal after a mistake from Juventus.
Brahim Diaz the scorer of the second goal had a lot to do before scoring a solo goal from the defensive blunder.
The former Manchester City midfielder intercepted a Dusan Vlahovic pass a few yards inside his own half, knocking the ball past onrushing Leonardo Bonucci before powering past Wojciech Szczesny.
Both sides switch focus back to the Champions League on Tuesday, with Milan at home to Chelsea and Juventus away at Maccabi Haifa.
