NPFL Pre-season: Dakkada FC to face Enyimba International in Eket
As part of preparations for the 2022/2023 Nigerian Professional Football League season, Dakkada FC will face Enyimba International FC in a friendly game on Friday October 21, 2022.
According to a statement released by the media manager of Dakkada FC Edidiong Stephen, the Pre-season friendly game will take place at the Eket Stadium by 3pm on Friday.
The choice of venue for the Grade-A friendly game SportsRation understands may be connected to a proposed movement of the “Chosen Ones” from the Nest of Champions to the recently inaugurated 18,000 capacity Eket Stadium.
Coach Umar Danlami of Dakkada FC will use the game vs the People Elephants to test his charges after a period of recruiting and blending of new and old players into a formidable unit.
Enyimba International FC on their part were 2-0 victors over Dakkada FC’s neighbor’s Akwa United FC at the Enyimba International Stadium on Saturday and will continue preparations with the Dakkada FC test.
Former Dakkada FC assistant captain Unwana Asuquo will hopefully return to face his former employers after swapping the Uyo based side for the People’s Elephants less than two months ago.
The Dakkada FC vs Enyimba International FC game will be the third in Eket Stadium, the other two games saw Akwa United FC record 2-1 and 2-0 wins over Katsina United FC and Enugu Rangers International FC respectively.
No date has been announced for the commencement of the 2022/2023 NPFL season, but with the planned inauguration of the Interim Management Committee – IMC this week, Nigerian football followers will hopefully get news to cheer.
