Bendel Insurance FC crowned NNL Champions after win over Doma United
Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin defeated Doma United FC 2-1 on Saturday evening to be crowned champions of the Nigeria National League.
The Benin Arsenal alongside Doma United, El Kanemi Warriors and hosts Bayelsa United FC participated in the Super 4 playoffs to determine Champions of the 2021/2022 NNL season.
To emerge Champions, Bendel Insurance FC (7points) topped Bayelsa United FC (4 points ), El Kanemi Warriors (4 points) and Doma United FC (1 point) .
Bendel Insurance FC kicked off the playoffs with a 1-0 win over Bayelsa United FC before sharing the spoils with El Kanemi Warriors to put themselves in prime position for a possible top place finish.
With Bayelsa United FC defeating El Kanemi Warriors 1-0 by 2pm, the Coach Monday Odigie tutored side had their job cut out knowing at a point vs Doma United will deliver the title.
