Ghanaians are grateful to André Ayew after watching what Brazil did to South Korea in their round of 16 fixture on Monday.
Going into the last Group H game against Uruguay, Ghana had a chance of making it to the next round if they beat Uruguay.
Uruguay led by Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde defeated Ghana 2-0 to deny the Black Stars from making it to the round of 16.
The South Americans were helped by Andre Ayew who had a chance to put Ghana up from the spot kick before Uruguay got their first goal.
South Korea defeated Portugal in their fixture to finish second behind the Europeans, had Ayew scored his goal maybe Ghana would have won their game against Uruguay and then secure the ticket to meet the dancing Brazilians.
And the fans who saw what Brazil did to South Korea are grateful their captain saved them from the embarrassment they would have suffered against the South Americans.
Yes, Ghana and Brazil played in a warm-up game that ended 3-0 in favour of the South Americans. That was a warm-up game.
