Nuggets defeat Suns as 76ers edge Knicks
Dallas Mavericks claimed a 124-115 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA on Sunday thanks to a third-quarter blitz that saw them score 51 points. Luka Doncic led the scoring for the Mavericks with 32 points and Christian Wood scored 30 points. LeBron James scored 38 points for the Lakers to lead all scorers.
Golden State Warriors showed their supremacy over the Memphis Grizzlies with a 123-109 win in the NBA on Christmas Day. Jordan Poole led the scoring for the Warriors with 32 points and Klay Thompson added 24 points. Ja Morant scored 36 points for the Grizzlies.
Philadelphia 76ers claimed a 119-112 win over the New York Knicks on Sunday in the NBA. Joel Embiid led the scoring for the Sixers with 35 points and James Harden contributed 29 points and 13 assists. Julius Randle scored 35 points for the Knicks in the game.
Boston Celtics pulled away at the summit of the Eastern Conference with a 139-118 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. Jayson Tatum led the scoring with 41 points in the game and Jaylen Brown scored 29 points. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 27 points for the Bucks.
Nikola Jokic recorded a triple-double as the Denver Nuggets claimed a 128-125 OT win over the Phoenix Suns in the NBA. The big Serb scored 41 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in the game and Aaron Gordon contributed 28 points and 13 rebounds. Landry Shamet scored 31 points for the Suns in the game.
